Who am I?

Good question! So many times you run across a site online and you wonder, “who is this”, “can I trust them?”

I made this site for a very simple reason. I’ve learned many creative ways to acquire property in my lifetime, one of which is through the buying of distressed properties. One of the top questions I see in so many of the real estate forums is, “where can I get a good distressed property listing?”

The truth is, if you know how, and you want to do some leg work, you can get listings locally, for free, in your county. If you’re interested in buying in your area, this is a good option. However, there are a lot of other details you need to know in order to make a good decision on whether to approach an owner, and how to approach them. This requires many more hours of homework. Or, you can use one of the online services, which will save you hours of time.

Foreclosure list companies online have gotten a bad rap in my opinion. “The lists are old” or “They don’t update pre-foreclosures regularly” and other complaints are all valid for some of the list providers. In fact, some of the horror stories I’ve heard about the “list companies” are in fact true.

This is unfortunate for the “good guys”.

I keep an updated list of foreclosure listing sites, and I provide it to you along with my review, for free. I just want the good guys to get the credit, and I want honest investors to have good tools that don’t waste their time and hard-earned money. I communicate with each of my #1 and #2 picks on a regular basis, and have used them both in the past. (They also know about my review site!) My # 3 slot always goes the the runner-up “good guy”, and believe me, I do keep tabs!
